Most people these days want family photography packages that include digital copies of all of the photos. However there are so many other options to create permanent high quality products that can be passed down to generations. Some photographers have an a-la-carte option and others have packages that are already made up.
Pregnancy is an absolute miracle of life. It is important to capture this time with maternity photos so that you will always have this special time captured. A pregnancy timeline is a great way to capture your growing belly and of course your beauty. You do tend to forget how small or big you were at different stages. With a pregnancy timeline, it means you can see the difference within 4 week periods. The best time to start this timeline is either at 12 or 16 weeks. Then again every 4 weeks until the baby is born.
In this session we first took family photos with mum and bub. Unfortunately daddy couldn’t be there. Proud grandma and grandpa were there for newborn pictures though. We were able to capture a variety of awake newborn pictures with a variety of props. He was strong and wiggled his way out of the wrap but we were able to capture a range of photos with close up details as well as full and half-length newborn pictures. This beautiful family came in for family photos and newborn pictures. We spent the first 10 minutes taking family photos and then the majority of the time taking newborn pictures. Archer came in only 12 days old for his newborn pictures and some family photos. This super cute little bundle thought it might be fun if he pooed in mummy’s hand while he was naked on her chest. Unfortunately we couldn’t take whole body family photos after this. We concentrated on newborn pictures and used sentimental items in such as a teddy bear and a crocheted octopus he was given at birth. Newborn pictures consisted of wraps, props and naked photos. Mum came into the studio with her 4 year old son and 2 week old daughter for family photos. After the family photos we had almost 2 hours to capture newborn pictures. We had enough time for feeding, changing and capturing a variety of awake and sleepy newborn pictures including the use of a variety of props. Little miss loved getting newborn pictures in her jumpsuit. Meagan Goodes, Melbourne newborn photographer
In this session we first took family photos and then concentrated on newborn pictures. This little man loved the cuddles during family photos but wasn’t so sure during his newborn pictures when he was laying by himself. After a few more cuddles during family photos we concentrated on newborn pictures. He was super strong and wiggle his way out of the wrap during newborn pictures but we managed to get a few when he was also snuggly too. Meagan Goodes, Melbourne newborn photographer
Cameron – Newborn pictures, family photos and maternity photos from a Melbourne newborn photographer
I was lucky enough to take maternity photos before little Cameron was born including family photos When Cameron came in we spent the first 10 minutes taking family photos and then the rest of the time on newborn pictures. This poor little man had a rough start to life with a little operation. He spent the first week or so in hospital but is in perfect health now. He was so easy to work with for his newborn pictures as we changed his clothing, wraps and props. Meagan Goodes, Melbourne newborn photographer
Mum and her two gorgeous daughters came into the studio for their family portrait and newborn photography session. The family portrait consisted of the sisters together, capturing their connection. The newborn photography was a breeze with bubba – she was a complete angel and slept the whole time. We were able to capture some beautiful newborn photography images on the beanbag and in a basket, including some close ups. Mum chose a beautiful lemon coloured backdrop where we used a flower halo on her daughter. Meagan Goodes, Melbourne newborn photographer
This family portrait was a trio, new parents and a newborn but most of the photos were taken of the connection between father and son. We also captured a newborn photography session with some sentimental items that mum wanted included. A newborn photography session or even a family portrait can include special items to make your photoshoot more personalised. Items such as hand-me-down blankets or booties might be used, an item that was yours as a child or even something that your newborn was given at the hospital.
