Dating Photos

Research suggests that it takes a tenth of a second for someone to form an impression of you based on your dating photos. Your dating photos are one of the most important parts of your profile to show off who you are and what you are about.

If you have a dull, unprofessional photo, it can hinder your chances of showing off your true personality and be the difference between 10 people contacting you to absolutely none!

There are many things to think about when deciding on the photos you will put on your dating profile. However there are 3 absolute must have dating photos:

  • the headshot – this only (as the name suggests) shows a shoulders up portrait. It allows people to really see what you look like.
  • the half-length – photos from head to the top of your thighs.
  • the full-length – a head to toe portrait of you in an environment you love and feel comfortable in.

 

A variety of candid and posed dating photos are taken and in a way that will put your best foot forward, so to speak. Photos depicting activities you like to do and including pets are also great as it will give any potential interest an understanding of who you are.

Clothing tip: Wear clothing that is logo and pattern free. Also a second change of clothes are best so it doesn’t look like your dating photos were all taken on the same day.
